Ruby's Restaurant Gets Sold September 2015

THREE YEARS OF AMAZING NETWORKING MEETINGS

It is not often I am surprised but when Michael the co-owner of Ruby's Restaurant phoned me up at 7pm Monday evening to say that Ruby's was sold at 4pm that day and Strategic Business Alliance would need to find an alternative venue for its future meetings, I was somewhat taken aback by this news.

Slightly stunned my first thought was OMG we have our next meeting here in two weeks what am I going to do! But on enquiring who the new owners were going to be I learnt from Michael it was to be a 'Turkish Restaurant' and he also explained that he had just secured the catering rights for the Radlett Masonic Centre in addition to the Potters Bar Golf Club for which he also has the catering contract.

I thanked Michael for the exceptional way he looked after our networking group and also asked him to pass on our thanks to his staff as they all played an important role in the groups success and equally wished him every success in his new business venture. The wonderful thing about working with someone over this time is you also become good friends. He also became an adopted member of the networking group and enjoyed participating when he was not busy serving everyone. 

Ruby's certainly helped establish the reputation of SB alliance as having the best Networking Breakfasts around with individually cooked meals with an extensive choice of breakfasts from the menu; the most popular being a 'smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast’ closely followed by the 'fruit breakfast' for those watching their waistline!

 So any other venue would have to equal our discerning networker’s requirements. So the challenge is now on to find our new venue!

We had some fabulous networking meetings at the restaurant including regular educational guest speakers and monthly business clinics. We even did an international skype link-up with one of our guest speakers in Israel. Which provided  SB alliance  networking group with substantial media coverage.

I believe all the members and visitors to Ruby's Restaurant will have some fond memories including all the respective business connections and friendships which have been made and business generated.
