The private dining suite at Black Pepper Restaurant at our Hatch End venue was packed to full capacity. All our attendees
enjoyed a welcome Prosecco or Bucks Fizz to kick off this very popular annual end of year festive event.
At Strategic Business Alliance we pride ourselves on making each Christmas Networking Lunch better each year and
this year was no exception. There was an hors d'oeusvres to start, a choice of seven main courses including the traditional
Turkey also a selection three delicious desserts plus refreshments. I chose the roast Turkey for my main course and for my
dessert the New York Cheesecake with ice cream. Wow a great choice. Everyone remarked on their choices too.
Whilst the food is of course a great talking point at all our events. This was both a serious and fun meeting and for business
owners a good way of celebrating their successes of the year and sharing issues they have experienced. Plus discussing if 2016
was a good, bad or better than the previous year. From the consensus from our attendees I spoke to it was a mixed bag. Certainly
since the 'Brexit' referendum in June which had clearly caused some concerns for all small business owners. But the outlook for
the coming year was looking very positive.

Each member and guest was offered one minute to present their business. But with a fun twist using the Xmas Crackers
on the table everyone had to use the little toy in the cracker as a prop in their pitch to their fellow networkers. Everyone
was marked on their presentations and whilst the standard was exceptionally high. The two spot prizes were awarded to
Mary Joyce of Resources Queen for her amazing humour. Equally Eli Pressman of Barnet Wills also gave an excellent
pitch with great content too!
Our final surprise was Nic Picot an international magician who did an amazing trick with his duck that pulled out a card.
Although, it was not the right card you never know with Nic if you are being 'hood winked' and yes you clearly were. The
duck was the distraction and later in his act a coin that Eli Pressman selected had the chosen card the seven of clubs
engraved on the reverse. The magical entertainment was a great finale to a truly fabulous networking event!
The meeting ended with everyone wishing each other a Merry Xmas and Happy Chunukah and successful 2017.
